The Monastery of Great Meteoron is an Eastern Orthodox monastery that is part of the Meteora monastery complex in Thessaly, central Greece. It is situated on top of a rock called Meteora or Platylithos, which is 415 metres above the Pineios valley floor. Holy Monastery of Great Meteoron is situated 220 metres west of Great Meteoron Parking.

The Monastery of St. Varlaam is an Eastern Orthodox monastery that is part of the Meteora monastery complex in Thessaly, central Greece. It is situated at the top of a rocky precipice that is 373 metres above the valley floor. The Holy Monastery of Varlaam is situated 230 metres southeast of Great Meteoron Parking.

Founded at the end of the 14th century, it is situated at the top of a rocky precipice. Holy Monastery of St. Nikolaos of Anapafsas is situated 430 metres southwest of Great Meteoron Parking.

Meteora is one of the gems of Greece. Near the town of Kalambaka in northwestern Thessaly, it consists of a number of rock pinnacles topped with a total of 24 monasteries, 6 of which are still in use and open to visitors, while the others are abandoned.
