Tall Zira’a

The Tall Zira'a is an archaeological tell in Jordan. Surveys and geophysical investigations showed the site's great potential for excavations. Tall Zira´a contains evidence of over 5000 years of settlement – almost without cultural gaps, at the point at which the Syrian cultural sphere meets the Palestinian. Tall Zira’a is situated 2 km east of Wadi Arab Dam.

Located to the south of the Sea of Galilee near the Jordanian border and covering 4,200 dunams, it falls under the jurisdiction of Emek HaYarden Regional Council. In 2024 it had a population of 960. Located to the south of the Sea of Galilee near the Jordanian border and covering 4,300 dunams, it falls under the jurisdiction of Emek HaYarden Regional Council. In 2024 it had a population of 919. Ashdot Ya’akov Meuhad is situated 7 km northwest of Wadi Arab Dam.
