First announced in September 2022, the station is expected to be completed in 2032 along with the other CRL Phase 2 stations. Maju MRT station is situated 530 metres east of Maju Camp.

Bukit Timah railway station is a former railway station and crossing loop in Bukit Timah, in the westernmost part of the Central Region of Singapore. Opened on the dismantled Tank Road mainline in 1903, it was rebuilt on the current Singapore–Johor Bahru KTM Intercity mainline in 1932, until the Jurong line shut down and it became a crossing loop station in the late 1940s until closure. Bukit Timah railway station is situated 1¼ km northeast of Maju Camp.
