The was an ancient open-air theatre in , , built in the closing years of the Roman Republic. It is located in the modern rione of . In the sixteenth century, it was converted into a palazzo. is situated 110 metres southeast of Porticus Octaviae.

The is the only river island in the part of the which runs through . is located in the southern bend of the Tiber. The island is boat-shaped, approximately 270 metres long and 67 metres wide, and has been connected with bridges to both sides of the river since antiquity.
