Foel Goch is a subsidiary summit of Esgeiriau Gwynion, and is included in a group of hills known as the Hirnantau. These hills rise from the south east shores of Bala Lake.

Trum y Gwragedd is a top of Foel y Geifr in the Hirnantau. These hills rise from the south east shores of Bala Lake. The summit is boggy and marked by a few stones. To the south is Foel y Geifr and to the north is Foel Goch.

Pen y Boncyn Trefeilw is a subsidiary summit of Cyrniau Nod in north east Wales. It forms a part of the Berwyn range called the Hirnantau. It has two tops: Stac Rhos and Pen y Cerrig Duon. Pen y Boncyn Trefeilw is situated 2 miles southeast of Maesafallen.

Rhos-y-gwaliau is a small hamlet in Meirionnydd, Gwynedd, North Wales, about 1.5 miles south-east of Bala. It is home to the Rhos y Gwaliau Outdoor Activity Centre and a now disused Victorian chapel, built for the Calvinistic Methodists. Rhos-y-gwaliau is situated 2½ miles north of Maesafallen.
