Vallay

Vallay is an uninhabited tidal island in the Scottish Outer Hebrides. It can be reached from North Uist by a long beach at low tide. Once the island supported a population of nearly sixty people. Vallay is situated 1½ miles north of Crannog.

Oronsay

Oronsay is a tidal island off North Uist in the Outer Hebrides. Lying to the north of Vallaquie Strand, the island has been uninhabited since the Highland Clearances. Oronsay is situated 2 miles north of Crannog.

RRH Benbecula

Remote Radar Head Benbecula or RRH Benbecula, is an air defence radar station operated by the Royal Air Force. Despite its name, it is not located on the nearby island of Benbecula; instead it is located on South Clettraval on the isle of North Uist, 11 miles from Lochmaddy in the Outer Hebrides of Scotland. RRH Benbecula is situated 1½ miles southwest of Crannog.
