Located west of the intersection of Handan Road and Guoquan Road in Yangpu District, Shanghai, the station is located on the western edge of the Handan campus of Fudan University, the main campus of the university. Fudan University is situated 590 metres southeast of 艺教中心.

Jiangwan Town is a station on Shanghai Metro Line 3. It served as the northern terminus of Line 3 from its opening on 26 December 2000 until 18 December 2006, when the northern extension to North Jiangyang Road opened. Jiangwan Town is situated 1¼ km northwest of 艺教中心.
