Longa Island is a small uninhabited island at the mouth of Loch Gairloch, on the west coast of Scotland. Longa is nearly one mile in length with an area of 126 hectares and a maximum elevation of 70 metres above sea level. Longa Island is situated 2½ miles south of Suil na Mara.

Melvaig is a crofting township on the coast of western Ross-shire, Scottish Highlands and is in the Scottish council area of Highland. The houses are largely on a raised shoreline in Wester Ross and are scattered on the crofts into which the land was divided in 1846. Melvaig is situated 3½ miles north of Suil na Mara.
