It is an A$82 million tennis facility opened on 2 January 2009 at the site of the demolished Tennyson Power Station. Queensland Tennis Centre is situated 700 metres east of Tintagel.

Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary is an 18-hectare koala sanctuary in the Brisbane suburb of Fig Tree Pocket in Queensland, Australia. Founded in 1927, it is the oldest and largest koala sanctuary of its kind in the world. Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary is situated 3½ km west of Tintagel.
