The 15.2-acre park is operated by the municipality and is used for recreational purposes, with a pedestrian and bicycle paths and a recreational area. Furuset Church is in the vicinity. Furuset kulturpark is situated 190 metres northeast of Furuset vel.

The complex is located near E6, the country's main north–south highway. Baitun Nasr Mosque is situated 630 metres east of Furuset vel.
