Jarlshof is the best-known prehistoric archaeological site in Shetland, Scotland. It lies in Sumburgh, Mainland, Shetland and has been described as "one of the most remarkable archaeological sites ever excavated in the British Isles".- Opening hours:

Sumburgh Airport is the main airport serving the island of Shetland, Scotland. It is located on the southern tip of the mainland, in the parish of Dunrossness, 17 NM south of Lerwick.

Lady's Holm is an island off southern Mainland in the Shetland Islands. It is not to be confused with the Maiden Stack, which is also known as "Frau Stack" It is to the west of Scat Ness and the village of Scatness, a headland on Mainland, and there is also another islet nearby, Little Holm. Sumburgh Airport is about a mile northeast.

Toab is the southernmost village on Mainland, Shetland, Scotland. It is part of Virkie and overlooks Sumburgh Airport. Toab is within the parish of Dunrossness. The name Toab may come from the old Norse hópr or hóp meaning a small landlocked bay or lagoon.
