Situated inside a gazetted national monument, the Istana Kampong Glam, its primary focus is to showcase the heritage and history of Malay Singaporeans. Istana Kampong Glam, also Istana Kampong Gelam, is a former Malay palace in Singapore. It is located near Masjid Sultan in Kampong Glam. The palace and compounds were refurbished into the Malay Heritage Centre in 2004. Istana Kampong Glam is situated 120 metres southwest of Madrasah Alsagoff Al-Arabiah.

Built in 1826 and later rebuilt into its present form in 1932, it is the most well-known mosque in the country and has been gazetted as a national monument. Sultan Mosque is situated 230 metres southwest of Madrasah Alsagoff Al-Arabiah.
