Cobbie Row’s Castle
Cobbie Row's Castle is the oldest medieval castle known to exist in Scotland. The castle ruins are located on the island of Wyre in Orkney. Built in the mid-12 century by Norse landowner, Kolbeinn hrúga, the stone fortification originally consisted of a small, central tower set in an oval enclosure, surrounded by two ditches, a stone wall and an earthen rampart.Photo: Bob Jones, CC BY-SA 2.0.

St. Mary's Chapel is a ruined 12th-century chapel found on the island of Wyre, in Orkney, Scotland. It is thought to have been built by a Norse chieftain, Kolbeinn hrúga or his son, Bjarni Kolbeinsson, Bishop of Orkney. St. Mary’s Chapel, Wyre is situated 390 feet east of Cobbie Row’s Castle.

Trumland is a Category B listed house and associated estate on Rousay, in Orkney, Scotland, built in its present form in the 1870s. Designed by David Bryce, the house was commissioned by Sir F W Traill-Burroughs as a new family home after his marriage to Eliza D’Oyly Geddes in 1870. Trumland is situated 1¼ miles northwest of Cobbie Row’s Castle.
