Talkin Tarn

Talkin Tarn is a glacial lake and country park near Brampton, Cumbria, England. The lake is in a kettle hole, formed 10,000 years ago by mass glacial action.

Brampton is a railway station on the Tyne Valley Line, which runs between Newcastle and Carlisle via Hexham. The station, situated 10 miles 62 chains east of Carlisle, serves the hamlet of Milton and the town of Brampton, Cumberland in Cumbria, England.

Gelt Bridge

The Gelt Bridge or Gelt Viaduct is a skew arch railway viaduct in the parish of Hayton, east of Carlisle in Cumbria, north west England. Built from 1832, it is one of the earliest and largest skew bridges in Britain. It is a Grade II* listed building.

Brampton is a market town in Cumbria, 10 miles east of Carlisle. It has a pleasant preserved old centre and is near the route of Hadrian's Wall. In 2021 its population was 4186. Tourist information is available at Moot Hall in the market place.

Farlam is a village and civil parish in the Cumberland district, in the English county of Cumbria. The village is about 2+1⁄4 miles southeast of the small town of Brampton and 9+1⁄2 miles east of the city of Carlisle.
