Roma Tiburtina is the second largest railway station in Rome, after Roma Termini. Located in the north-eastern part of the city, it was originally constructed during the 1860s as a terminal station, and redeveloped during the 2010's. Monti Tiburtini is a station on Line B of the Rome Metro. It is located on Via dei Monti Tiburtini, at the junction with Via Filippo Meda. To make room for its construction, in the early 1980s, some tennis courts and a football field of a nearby sports centre were demolished. Monti Tiburtini is situated 530 metres northeast of Sant’Atanasio a Via Tiburtina.
