Igel Column

The Igel Column is a multi-storeyed Roman sandstone column in the municipality of Igel, Trier, Germany, dated to c. 250 AD. The column is the burial monument of the Secundinii cloth merchant family, and was built by two of the family members, Lucius Secundinius Aventinus and Lucius Secundinus Securus. Igel Column is situated 3 km southeast of Natursteinwerk Mesenich.

The Sauer Valley Bridge is a motorway bridge high above the Sauer River which at this point marks the frontier between Luxembourg and Germany. It was constructed between 1984 and 1987. Sauer Valley Bridge is situated 1¼ km west of Natursteinwerk Mesenich.
