Salen is a small village on the island of Mull, in the Scottish Inner Hebrides. With a population of 500, it's little more than a road junction midway between Tobermory and Craignure.

Lochaline is the main village in the Morvern area of Highland, Scotland. Historian ‘Philip Gaskell’ records that, at the time of the Highland Clearances, in about 1830, John Sinclair of Lochaline founded Lochaline village. Lochaline is situated 4½ miles east of Pennygown Chapel.
