The stadium currently has an all-seated capacity of 20,421, which makes it the fifth-largest football stadium in Scotland. Easter Road is situated 1,200 feet west of Lochend Park.

During the 15th century, the abbey guesthouse was developed into a royal residence, and after the Scottish Reformation the Palace of Holyroodhouse was expanded further. Holyrood Abbey is situated 3,600 feet southwest of Lochend Park.
