Oulx is a town of 3,300 people in the Piedmont region of Italy near the town of Sauze d'Oulx, a famous ski resort. Oulx sits at the confluence of the Dora di Riparia and the Dora di Bardonecchia rivers in the Susa Valley, about 76 km west of Turin. Beaulard is situated 3½ km northeast of Bivacco XII.
