This newly declared historical monument is located in a Venetian building, built some time between 1600 and 1800 for the Jesuit school established in 1700, later becoming the Archaeological Museum in 1972. The Temple of Apollo, or Portara, was an ancient Greek temple in Naxos, dedicated to the god Apollo. The temple was constructed in the 6th century BC by the tyrant Lygdamis. Temple of Apollo is situated 3½ km north of Dionysos Temple.

Glynado is a community on the island of Naxos, in the Cyclades, Greece. Its population is 743 but increases in the summer months.
