Skansen is the oldest open-air museum and zoo in Sweden located on the island Djurgården in Stockholm, Sweden. It was opened on 11 October 1891 by Artur Hazelius to show the way of life in the different parts of Sweden before the industrial era. Skansen is situated 480 metres west of Rosenträdgården.

Rosendal Palace

Rosendal Palace is a Swedish palace pavilion located on Djurgården, an island in central Stockholm. It was built between 1823 and 1827 for King Charles XIV John, the first Bernadotte king of Sweden. Rosendal Palace is situated 300 metres northeast of Rosenträdgården.

The Maritime Museum in Stockholm, Sweden is a museum for naval history, merchant shipping and shipbuilding. Located in the Gärdet section of the inner-city district Östermalm, the museum offers a panoramic view of the bay Djurgårdsbrunnsviken. Maritime Museum is situated 630 metres north of Rosenträdgården.

Djurgården, more properly Södra Djurgården, is a park island in the southern Östermalm borough in Stockholm. The island makes up much of the National City Park, and contains many museums and leisure venues, such as Skansen, the Vasa Museum and ABBA The Museum.
