Grangemouth is a town in the Falkirk council area in the central belt of Scotland. Historically part of the county of Stirlingshire, the town lies in the Forth Valley, on the banks of the Firth of Forth, three miles east of Falkirk, five miles west of Bo'ness and 13 miles south-east of Stirling.

Glensburgh is a very small and old hamlet situated on the south bank of the River Carron, 1.1 miles north-west of Grangemouth. Originally built on farmland in 1240 as houses for farm slaves the now standing cottages date back as far as 1878. Glensburgh is situated 2½ miles west of Grangemouth Refinery.
