Eilat's Coral Beach Nature Reserve and Conservation area is a nature reserve and national park in the Red Sea, near the city of Eilat in Israel. It covers 1.2 kilometres of shore, and is the northernmost shallow water coral reef in the world, and possibly one of the more resilient to climate change. Hof Ha-Almuggim Be-Elat Nature Reserve is situated 1 km southwest of The Last Refuge.

The Dolphins Reef is a tourist attraction in Eilat, Israel. It advertises the following activities that they claim focus mainly on dolphins and conserving them -Swimming with dolphins, diving lessons, guided tours, lectures and workshops and an information centre. Dolphin Reef is situated 1½ km northeast of The Last Refuge.

Taba, in the eastern Sinai peninsula of Egypt, is on the border with Israel, close to the city and airport of Eilat. The area within one km of the border is a duty-free zone with a couple of large resort hotels, a few shops, the bus station and other amenities.

Eilat is the only Israeli city on the Red Sea. Eilat is the southernmost town in Israel, isolated from the rest of the country by the Negev desert. It's sandwiched between Taba in Egypt and Aqaba in Jordan, and often used as an access route to those cities because of its large modern Ramon airport.
