Lochmaben Castle is a ruined castle in the town of Lochmaben, the feudal Lordship of Annandale, and the united county of Dumfries and Galloway. It was built by Edward I in the 14th century replacing an earlier motte and bailey castle, and later rebuilt during the reign of James IV of Scotland. Lochmaben Castle is situated 1,500 feet north of Castle Mains.

Lochmaben is a historic market town, civil parish and former royal burgh in Dumfries and Galloway Scotland, and site of a castle. It lies approximately 42 miles south-southwest of Edinburgh, 60 miles southeast of Glasgow, and 4 miles west of Lockerbie, It had a population of 2,092 in 2022.
