The Place de la Cathédrale is a public square in Strasbourg, France, surrounding Strasbourg Cathedral. The square is accessed from the west by the Rue Mercière, from the south by the Rue du Maroquin, the Place du Château and the Rue de la Râpe, and from the north by Passage de la Cathédrale.

The Grande Île is an island that lies at the historic centre of Strasbourg, France. Its name derives from the fact that it is surrounded on one side by the main channel of the Ill river and on the other side by the Canal du Faux-Rempart, a canalised arm of that river. Grande Île is situated 240 metres northwest of place de la Cathédrale.
