Mount Royal is a mountain in the city of Montreal, immediately west of Downtown Montreal, Quebec, Canada. The city's name is derived from its name. The mountain is part of the Monteregian Hills situated between the Laurentians and the Appalachian Mountains.

Mount Royal Cross

The Mount Royal Cross is a monument on top of Mount Royal in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. It stands at the northeastern peak of the mountain and overlooks the eastern part of the Island of Montreal. Mount Royal Cross is situated 1 km southeast of Parc Ludger-Beauregard.

Outremont

Outremont, once its own town, was incorporated into Montreal in 2002. As its name suggests, it's on the other side of Mount Royal from downtown, and is a predominately residential area, home to well-known Québec artists and celebrities and to Montreal's Hasidic Jewish community.
