Hamilton Zoo is the main zoological garden of Hamilton, New Zealand. Covering 25 hectares, it is situated on Brymer Road in the Hamilton suburb of Rotokauri, on the outskirts of the metropolitan area towards the northwest. Hamilton Zoo is situated 1 km west of Waiwhakareke Natural Heritage Park.

The lake has a maximum depth of four metres and the open water covers approximately 77 hectares. Lake Rotokauri is situated 2½ km northwest of Waiwhakareke Natural Heritage Park.
