Morano Calabro is a town and comune in the province of Cosenza in the Calabria region of southern Italy. It is one of I Borghi più belli d'Italia. It was the birthplace of mathematician Gaetano Scorza and Economist Oswaldo Caffaro Faillace, a decorated telegraphist in WWII, who saved numerous lives by advising Italian soldiers in Africa of the unexpected approach of bombers.
