The Grand Ducal Palace is a palace in Luxembourg City, in southern Luxembourg. It is the official residence of the grand duke of Luxembourg, and where he performs most of his duties as head of state of the grand duchy, though his principal residence is Berg Castle, in Colmar-Berg. Grand Ducal Palace is situated 120 metres northwest of Luxembourg City History Museum.

The Bock is a promontory in the north-eastern corner of Luxembourg City's old historical district. It was here that Count Siegfried built his Castle of Lucilinburhuc in 963, providing a basis for the development of the town that became Luxembourg.
