The Galleria Borghese or Borghese Gallery is an art gallery in Rome, Italy, housed in the former Villa Borghese Pinciana. At the outset, the gallery building was integrated with its gardens, but nowadays the Villa Borghese gardens are considered a separate tourist attraction. Porta Pinciana is a gate of the Aurelian Walls in Rome. The name derives from the gens Pincia, who owned the eponymous hill. In ancient times it was also called Porta Turata and Porta Salaria vetus, as the oldest Via Salaria passed under it. Porta Pinciana is situated 280 metres west of Christuskirche.
