Formally opened in 1991, the museum is operated by the independent Brooklands Museum Trust Ltd, a private limited company and a registered UK charity; its aim is to conserve, protect and interpret the heritage of the Brooklands site. Brooklands Museum is situated 510 feet northeast of ERA Shed.
