Founded in 1989 by Kong Hee, the church officially bases its values on Charismatic and Pentecostal teachings, with emphases on such doctrines as the Great Commandment, the Great Commission and the Cultural Mandate. City Harvest Church is situated 710 metres northeast of Juying Secondary School.

The Singapore Discovery Centre is an 'edutainment' and tourist attraction by the Ministry of Defence of Singapore in Jurong West, Singapore. The centre includes exhibits which display the history of Singapore as well as an insight on the future. Singapore Discovery Centre is situated 1 km southwest of Juying Secondary School.
