Ainshval is the second highest mountain on the island of Rùm, in the Inner Hebrides of Scotland, after Askival. It is part of the Rùm Cuillin, a range of rocky hills in the south of the island. Ainshval is situated 2½ miles west of Lochan Dubh.

Kinloch is a hamlet that is the main settlement of the island of Rùm, in the Small Isles, in the Highland council area of Scotland. It has a primary school, village hall and shop and is the location of the ferry terminal. Kinloch is situated 3 miles north of Lochan Dubh.

Rùm is the largest of the four Small Isles off the west coast of Scotland. It has a permanent population of about thirty, centred around the harbour at Kinloch on the east coast.
