Tantallon Castle is a ruined mid-14th-century fortress, located 5 kilometres east of North Berwick, in East Lothian, Scotland. It sits atop a promontory opposite the Bass Rock, looking out onto the Firth of Forth. Tantallon Castle is situated 740 feet northeast of Visitor’s Centre.

Auldhame Castle is a ruined L-plan tower house standing on a ridge above Seacliff beach, about 3 miles east of North Berwick in East Lothian, and less than half a mile from Tantallon Castle. Auldhame Castle is situated 2,600 feet east of Visitor’s Centre.

The Bass Rock, or simply the Bass, is an island in the outer part of the Firth of Forth in the east of Scotland. Approximately 2 km offshore, and 5 km north-east of North Berwick, it is a steep-sided volcanic plug, 107 m at its highest point, and is home to a large colony of gannets. Bass Rock is situated 1½ miles north of Visitor’s Centre.
