Esthwaite Water

Esthwaite Water is one of the smaller and lesser known lakes in the Lake District National Park in Cumbria, England. It is situated between the much larger lakes of Windermere and Coniston Water in the Furness area, historically part of Lancashire.

Hawkshead Grammar School in Hawkshead, Cumbria, England was founded in 1585 by Archbishop Edwin Sandys, the incumbent Archbishop of York, whose family came from the Hawkshead area.

Hill Top

Hill Top is a 17th-century house in Near Sawrey near Hawkshead, in the English county of Cumbria. It is an example of Lakeland vernacular architecture with random stone walls and slate roof.

Bowness-on-Windermere

Bowness-on-Windermere is the main tourist centre for the South Lakes area of Lake District National Park. It sits on the shore of Windermere lake within the boundaries of the historic County of Westmorland. In 2011, it had about 3,800 permanent residents.
