Situated in the old district of Borujerd city, previously called Do Dangeh, the Jameh Mosque of Borujerd was built on an ancient fire temple of the pre-Islamic Sasanian Empire in the 3rd century AH, and is the oldest mosque in the Zagros area and western Iran. Jame‘ Mosque of Borujerd is situated 3 km east of Islamic Guidance Office.
