Fort Mero is an Austro-Hungarian fortification built in Northern Italy. Mero was built between 8 May 1911, and July 1913, and was the last fortification built in the Tonale group. Mero intermediate works is situated 710 metres southwest of Caserme.

Fort Tonale also known as Fort Zaccarana or Saccarana, is an Austro-Hungarian fortification built to guard the Strino and Sole Valleys in Northern Italy. Fort Tonale is situated 750 metres west of Caserme.

The Strino Roadblock is an Austro-Hungarian roadblock built to guard the Tonale Pass and the Sole Valley in Northern Italy. While some sources indicate that the fort was built between 1860 and 1866, others indicate between 1860 and 1861. Strino works is situated 740 metres east of Caserme.

Tonale Pass is a high mountain pass in northern Italy across the Rhaetian Alps, between Lombardy and Trentino. It connects Valcamonica and Val di Sole. Tonale Pass is situated 4½ km southwest of Caserme.
