Black Fortress

Sev Berd or Black Fortress is an abandoned Russian imperial fortress in Gyumri, Shirak Province, Armenia. The fortress, which lies 8 kilometres from the Turkish border, was built in response to the Russo-Turkish War of 1828–1829. Black Fortress is situated 430 metres northwest of Manifest.

The Mother Armenia monumental statue is a female personification of Armenia, located in the city of Gyumri. It resembles the monumental complex of Mother Armenia in the capital Yerevan. Mother Armenia is situated 300 metres northwest of Manifest.

Vardanants Square

Vartanants Square or Vardanants Square, is the large central town square in Gyumri, Armenia. It is bordered by Abovyan street from the west, Gai street from the north, Shahumyan street from the east and Vahan Cheraz street from the south. Vardanants Square is situated 1½ km northeast of Manifest.

Gyumri is the second largest city in Armenia and the capital of Shirak Province in Northern Armenia. The city was hit hard by the 1988 Spitak earthquake, the consequences of which are still visible throughout the city in the 2020’s.
