Luskentyre is a sparse settlement on the west coast of Harris, in the Outer Hebrides, Scotland. Luskentyre is situated within the parish of Harris. The name Luskentyre derives from Lios-cinn-tir, meaning 'headland fort', although there is no trace or local knowledge of a fort at the headland. Luskentyre is situated 3½ miles northwest of Loch nan Saighead.

Tarbert is a village on Harris in the Outer Hebrides of Scotland. With a population of 550, it's the main town and ferry terminal for Harris. It's the ideal base for touring the whole of Harris: you can also tour Lewis but that's quite a drive from here.
