First Baptist Church

The First Baptist Church is a historic church at 1 Park Street in Waterville, Maine. Built in 1826, it is the city's oldest standing public building. It was renovated in 1875 to a design by Francis H.

Built at the turn of the 20th century, it is one of a small number of multifunction civic buildings, housing both a live performance venue and municipal facilities, functions it continues to perform today. Waterville Opera House and City Hall is situated 1,200 feet southeast of First Baptist Church.

Fort Halifax is a former British outpost on the banks of the Sebasticook River, just above its mouth at the Kennebec River, in Winslow, Maine. Originally built as a wooden palisaded fort in 1754, during the French and Indian War, only a single blockhouse survives. Fort Halifax is situated 1 mile south of First Baptist Church.
