The Templo Mayor was the main temple of the Mexica people in their capital city of Tenōchtitlan, which is now Mexico City. Its architectural style belongs to the late Postclassic period of Mesoamerica. Templo Mayor is situated 180 metres east of Mexico City Metropolitan Cathedral.

The Centro Cultural de España is located at 18 Guatemala Street in the historic center of Mexico City. In the late 1990s, this old mansion just behind the Cathedral was in ruins when the Mexico City government ceded it to the Spanish government. Centro Cultural de España is situated 120 metres north of Mexico City Metropolitan Cathedral.
