Beaufort Castle or Castle Dounie is a Baronial style mansion built in 1880 and incorporating older building work. It is situated on the right bank of the River Beauly near the town of Beauly in Inverness-shire and is 1 mile north of Kiltarlity and 13 mi west of Inverness.

Eilean Aigas is an island in the River Beauly, Scotland, in Kiltarlity parish in traditional Inverness-shire, now Highland Region. It is most notable for the mansion on it at its north end, which was formerly owned by the Sobieski Stuarts and rented by author and Scottish nationalist Compton Mackenzie from Lord Fraser of Lovat. Eilean Aigas is situated 2½ miles west of Kiltarlity Free Church.
