South Ronaldsay

South Ronaldsay is the most southerly of the Orkney Islands, with its main settlement at St Margaret's Hope, and a population in 2011 of 909. Burray just north has always been joined by a sandy spit to South Ronaldsay.

St Margaret's Hope is a village in the Orkney Islands, off the north coast of Scotland. It is known locally as The Hope or The Hup. With a population of about 550, it is Orkney's third largest settlement after Kirkwall and Stromness.

Herston is a village on South Ronaldsay, Orkney, Scotland, United Kingdom. Herston is historically a fishing village but its only industry to speak of is Herston Stained Glass, now that Herston Hikers Hostel is now inactive.
