Upnor Castle is an Elizabethan artillery fort located on the west bank of the River Medway in Kent. It is in the village of Upnor, opposite and a short distance downriver from the Chatham Dockyard, at one time a key naval facility. Upnor Castle is situated 2½ miles southeast of Maple Cottage.

It was built in the 1380s by the Cobham family, the local lords of the manor, to guard the area against French raids into the Thames Estuary.
