Church Island is one of 23 islands on Lough Gill, situated in the northwest of Ireland. It is the largest island on the lake and is named after a monastery that was founded there in the 6th century, by Saint Lommán of Trim.
Parke’s Castle

Parke's Castle is a 17th-century Manor house. It was originally known as Newtowne and is situated on the shore of Lough Gill, County Leitrim, Ireland. Parke's Castle was built on the site of an earlier 16th century O'Rourke tower house. Parke’s Castle is situated 3½ km east of Swan Island.

Tobernalt is a holy well in north County Sligo, Ireland near the southwest corner of Lough Gill. It is an ancient natural spring dating back to the 5th century as a pagan meeting place and later a Penal Law mass site. Tobernalt is situated 4 km west of Swan Island.
