Chapelcross nuclear power station is a former Magnox nuclear power station undergoing decommissioning. It is located in Annan in Dumfries and Galloway in southwest Scotland, and was in operation from 1959 to 2004.

Galabank is a football stadium in the town of Annan, Dumfries and Galloway, Scotland. It is the home ground of Scottish Professional Football League club Annan Athletic, who have played there since 1953.

Annan is a market town in Dumfries and Galloway in southwest Scotland, with a population of 8700 in 2022. Many town buildings are a warm red sandstone, but the main visitor attraction is the First World War munitions complex that made "the devil's porridge".

Ecclefechan is a village located in Dumfries and Galloway in the south of Scotland. The village is famous for being the birthplace of Thomas Carlyle. Ecclefechan lies in the valley of the Mein Water, a tributary of the River Annan, 6+1⁄4 miles south of Lockerbie, five miles north of Annan and eight miles northwest of the English border.

Brydekirk is a village in Annandale in Dumfries and Galloway, Scotland located approximately 4 km north of Annan. The village was a planned the concept dating to 1800 from the Paisley-Dirom family of Mount Annan, set around a bridge over the River Annan.
