Auldearn is a village situated east of the River Nairn, just outside Nairn in the Highland council area of Scotland. It takes its name from William the Lion's castle of Eren, built there in the 12th century. Auldearn is situated 3 miles north of Fornighty.

Ardclach is a small crofting hamlet, close to Glenferness in the Highland council area of Scotland. It is historically part of Nairnshire. Dating to at least 1655, and now a Category A listed building, Ardclach Bell Tower is believed to be the only tower and belfry combination in Scotland. Ardclach is situated 3½ miles south of Fornighty.
