Sarepta was a Phoenician city on the Mediterranean coast between Sidon and Tyre, also known biblically as Zarephath. It became a bishopric, which faded, and remains a double Catholic titular see.

As-Saksakiyah is a municipality in the Sidon District of the South Governorate in Lebanon. It is located 61 kilometres from Beirut and 15 kilometres south of Sidon, and covers an area of 2,44 km².

Al-Loubiyah, or Al-Loubieh is a municipality in south Lebanon 62 km from and 20 km south of Sidon, 21 km north of Tyre, area 2.23 km2, altitude 144 m. Al-Loubiyah is also the name for a traditional Lebanese mezze made from green beans, tomatoes, onions, garlic and salt, all sauteed in olive oil. Loubieh is situated 3 km south of El Khodr.
