Yasser Arafat International Airport was an airport in the Gaza Strip. It was located between Rafah and Dahaniya, close to the Egyptian border. The facility was built as a result of the Oslo Accords and opened on 24 November 1998 as Gaza International Airport.

Rafah was a city in the southern Gaza Strip, Palestine, that served as the capital of the Rafah Governorate. It was located 30 kilometers south-west of Gaza City. Rafah is situated 3 km northwest of Shokat as-Sufi.

Al-Bayuk is a Palestinian village in the eastern Rafah Governorate located in the southern Gaza Strip. According to the Palestinian Central Bureau of Statistics, it had a population of 5,648 in 2006. Al-Bayuk is situated 3½ km northeast of Shokat as-Sufi.
