Rhynie

Rhynie is a village in , Scotland. It is on the A97 road, 14 miles northwest of . Though only having a population of about 500 people today, research suggests that it was likely to have been home to thousands 1400 years ago.

The Tap o' Noth is a hill and the name of a hillfort on its summit, 8 miles south of in , at grid reference NJ485293. It is the second highest fort in Scotland and its main feature is its well-preserved vitrified wall which encloses an area of approximately 100 m by 30 m, 0.3 hectares. is situated 1½ miles northwest of Rhynie.

St Mary's Kirk at Auchindoir, between Rhynie and , in , Scotland, is one of the country's finest surviving medieval parish kirks. The main doorway is early Romanesque, and there is a well-preserved early 16th-century sacrament house, similar to those at and Kinkell. is situated 2 miles southwest of Rhynie.
